Going back to the corn

There's that chapter when I was seven, and I was pretty sure I was the pink Power Ranger. There's a chapter when I was 16, got my license, a car, a speeding ticket and immediately had my car taken away. Then there's the chapter I'm in now: the chapter from ages 18 to 21 where I've been at ASU.
Soon, I will be turning the page to a new chapter. No, I'm not graduating just yet, but I am leaving San Angelo. After weeks of agonizing over it, I finally made a decision (which is hard for me especially since I am well-known for being decision-making disabled).
I am transferring to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and in about four weeks, I'll be a Midwesterner again. Even though I spent the formative years of my life in the Corn Belt, I know I will most likely turn into a real-life human Popsicle by the time October rolls around.
The years I spent at ASU were some of the hardest, but also some of the most rewarding and happy years of my life. I've made so many amazing friends and met so many interesting and amazing people here. Even though I know we would have all parted ways sooner or later, I always hoped it would happen later rather than sooner.
Through my years of playing volleyball at ASU and my (way too) brief time with the Ram Page, I have had a wonderful time in this chapter, and it is bittersweet to move on to new opportunities.
Although I know that things change and pages turn, it doesn't make the change in scene any easier. I hope that the characters I've come into contact here in this chapter continue to enter the plot of my life, and I hope that the next chapter will be just as rewarding.
