Losing three of their last five games, the 'Belles managed to retain the top spot in the Lone Star Conference however, taking two games from No. 15 Abilene Christian (31-11) on Saturday.
The Wildcats came to San Angelo on a 14-game winning streak, and increased it to 15 with a come from behind 7-3 victory on Friday.
The 'Belles rebounded with a sweep of Saturday's double header, taking the first game 11-5 and the second 7-6.
Junior Chelsea Nelson improved her record to (20-2), picking up wins in both victories.
Nelson became the conference's first 20-game winner this season, earning Pitcher of the Week honors for the South Division.
Also recognized by the LSC, sophomore Alix Dean picked up the Hitter of the Week award, batting .500 in the Abilene series, collecting six hits and eight RBI.
On Tuesday, ASU suffered their first back-to-back losses of the season, falling to non-conference opponent St. Edward's in Austin.
Freshman Sandy James continues her onslaught of the record books, hitting her NCAA Division II-leading 22nd home run of the season in game two.
James current hitting streak of 21 games has already set another school record, surpassing Alexis Wing's streak of 18 in 2004.
The 'Belles have hit a home run in 16 consecutive games and a total of 68 as a team, both new school records.
The team traveled to Denton on Thursday, for a three game series with conference for Texas Woman's University.
