The ASU Softball Team remains at the top of the Division II National Rankings, despite losing to Tarleton State to open Lone Star Conference play last weekend.
Junior Chelsea Nelson suffered just her second loss on the season, allowing eight earned runs on 13 hits through the six inning affair.
The Rambelles (23-3) rebounded from the 12-6 loss on Friday, to sweep a double header on Saturday, winning 7-1 and 9-4, taking the series.
Freshman slugger Sandy James hit her LSC-leading 12th home run in the first game on Saturday, a three-run shot in the seventh that gave the 'Belles the lead.
Improving to 9-1 on the season, junior April Haywood allowed just one earned run in the complete game victory.
Nelson avenged Friday's loss, tossing all seven innings in game two, giving up just two earned runs.
Haywood did her damage with the bat in the second game, going three-for-four with five RBIs.
The Rambelles host a three game series this weekend at the ASU Softball Complex with Eastern New Mexico.
Due to the forecasted inclement weather, game times have been adjusted.
The two teams square off for one game duel on Saturday, Mar. 14 with the first pitch at 4 p.m.
Sunday, Mar. 15, features a double header beginning at 1 p.m.
